Context

This is a short book - a pamphlet, really - published by the GLC that was designed to explain the brand-new London Motorway Box to the public. It is from 1967, less than a year after the first of their motorway plans were unveiled, and predates both the Greater London Development Plan and the "Ringway" terminology.

It contains a number of lovely pictures and artists' impressions of the new roads, some of which are duplicated in the "New Roads in North and West London" booklet in MT 106/437.
