Context
This file is in a series of 17 files, explained in detail at GLC/DG/PTI/P/05/048.
Within the wider series, this file contains correspondence from January to March 1970. There's little worthwhile information here.
Contents of note
- Allusions in some correspondence to the line of Ringway 2 being close to but not, as we have usually assumed, on the line of Whitefoot Lane in Lewisham. That being the case the motorway must logically have run immediately to the south.
- A lengthy report that proposes approving expenditure to commission a report on the feasibility of a tunnel to carry Ringway 2 between the A13 and Thamesmead.
