Context
My notes on this file start with the words "not hugely interesting", which is a generous understatement.
The file title suggests it's going to contain details of the schemes instituted by the LTMU, but this sort of thing is thin on the ground. The file is much more to do with financial arrangements, and the way in which the LTMU paid for its schemes to be carried out. There was difficulty in approving expenditure of certain types and in how to pay out grants for unusual traffic experiments, all of which had to be resolved by the means of large quantities of dull paperwork. That paperwork is here in its entirety.
