==Context==
Along with the other files listed below, this item is a photocopy of a single plan sheet showing the layout of a section of one route proposal for the M11 Link Road, a trunk road scheme pursued in the late 1970s and early 1980s as a replacement for the cancelled M11 between Hackney and Woodford. The road was eventually built in further modified form as the A12 and opened in the 1990s.

This plan effectively mirrors the line of the A12 as built, on viaduct over the marshalling yards and with a junction at Temple Mills Road, though the road here has two lanes, not three. The viaduct requires three tracks to be permanently lifted, with new chords indiscriminately added diverting busy routes such as the Down Goods Main into sidings to get around the viaduct piers. Presumably BR had their head in their hands and may have had alternative suggestions, especially considering the viaduct spans have enough space to accommodate all the required tracks if a bit more realignment was done.

The Temple Mills junction is very squashed and lacks acceleration or deceleration lanes.
