==Context==
This file is the second of two, and continues from [[MT 120/231]]. Large parts of this fairly dense file are minutes of steering groups and letters informing the members of the steering group when the next steering group meeting would take place. All of these are duplicated numerous times, sometimes out of order.

We learn that traffic data for the Ringway 3 study was available from LTS, an "M25 Survey" and a "South Orbital Road Survey", but the study would only use LTS, "because of the problems of compatibility of survey dates, projection dates and zoning variations". In other words they cut down their data sources to avoid comparing apples and oranges - but this would have left them with scarce data on the south side of their route. Detailed plans were drawn for every variant of the route under consideration at 1:2500 scale; this meant 335km of route plans for a road that would end up 60km in length.

The file runs out in July 1970, at which point the study was not complete, so there is no report or draft report here.

There are four plans at the back of the file - one project flowchart and three more traffic study charts, which my notes describe as "completely impenetrable".
