==Context==
This file runs from the late 1970s to early 1980s and refers to early attempts to resurrect the M11 between Hackney and Woodford - cancelled in 1976 - as a non-motorway trunk road scheme, which obviously came to nothing for a long time before finally opening in the mid-1990s.

A lot of the paperwork revolves around a new mayor in Waltham Forest, Dick Drew, and his idea to use the Temple Mills marshalling yards as a major freight hub, opened up by the M11 Link Road and his own idea for a route up the Lea Valley (which looks suspiciously like Orient Way as built). The Minister visited Waltham Forest to talk to him about it.

There's a plan showing proposed improvements Hackney Wick to Woodford, and also the A406 Barking Relief Road as eventually built, at two scales.
