Context

One objector against Ringway 2 was the National Westminster Bank, because the route between Norbury and Falconwood passed through their corporate sports fields in Beckenham. (HSBC still have a big sports facility there.) They agreed with LB Bromley's proposal to site a motorway junction at Kangley Bridge Road, rather than Worsley Bridge Road, as it would have claimed less of their land.

This file contains one big A2 sheet of a GLC route map, showing Ringway 2 between approximately South Norwood and Grove Park, on which the NatWest's representative has marked their playing fields and the preferred location of an interchange. That's not of great interest, but the map sheet itself is - these sheets were sent out for consultation when the route was decided in July 1969 but are rare as hen's teeth now, so finding even one isolated sheet is good news.
