Context

Most of the plans and diagrams that accompany the incalculably important files of MT 39/241 (incalculably important, that is, to road enthusiasts) have been preserved and placed in this file where they can be held flat on mounting board.

Contents of note

  • Maps of the UK at various scales, and with close-ups of most major cities, showing the numbering scheme as it was originally conceived. Includes some maps of Scotland without zone 9.
  • Diagrams of short multiplexes (numbers running concurrently), despite the oft-held belief that no multiplexes occurred in the original numbering system.
  • Proposed line of the original A180 Durham Coast Road - hardly ever mentioned on SABRE

People with camera copies

Chris Marshall has two camera copies of this file, one not very good and a second attempt that is much better.
Ritchie Swann has a camera copy of the A180, though it isn't very good, and some of the other plans.
