Context

This isn't what you might expect - "Eastern Avenue Extension" in this case actually refers to the northernmost part of the East Cross Route. Rather in the same way that you might say "apple" when what you're actually talking about is the European Central Bank or Nigel Havers or a round of toast.

It does, admittedly, also deal with the extension to Eastern Avenue that was built to meet the ECR, named Eastway: a short linking section of road across the Lee.

A big diagram of the section of East Cross Route in question is here, plus endless correspondence from people living in the area. And that's it.
