Wasteoftime.jpg This file is a waste of time.
You are advised to avoid it like the plague. Its file title sounds rather interesting but it may contain only dull papers that fail to illuminate the subject matter or it may not even be related to the subject suggested by the title.

Context

This file is in a series of 17 files, explained in detail at GLC/DG/PTI/P/05/048.

Within the wider series, this file contains correspondence from January 1970 to March 1972. In this timeframe, Ringway 2 was (along with all other GLC motorway plans) on hold while the GLDP Inquiry ran its course, and all planning activity was suspended. As a result very little happens here, and enquiries from the public are more or less sent holding replies saying that they would have to wait for the outcome of the inquiry. The file ends approximately when Council policy changes and Ringway 2's south side is scrapped.

Contents of note

  • Evidence of at least five more property purchases.
