Help:How to Get an Account

Roads.org.uk Archive Wiki is a resource for the use of a small number of people who carry out original archive research into the history of the UK road network. As such it is a closed system which requires you to be logged in before you can participate. This removes the possibility of spam attacks, which are a liability on an open Wiki, and which would be too time-consuming to combat if no user identification system was used.

So, if you have information to contribute, you will need to request an account. Please do get in touch - we'd love to have you aboard.

How to apply

Send an e-mail through the Roads.org.uk main website's contact page with your request for a user account.

Your account will be manually created and an e-mail will be sent to confirm when it is active. The e-mail will contain a randomly generated password, which you can use to log in. You can then change your password to whatever you like.

From that point on you have complete access to ArchiveWiki. Hooray!
