Context

Another file which, as its title suggests, deals with the purchase of a single residential property that was affected by planning blight. Giving this file slight interest is the fact that the property in question was blighted by the GLC's line for Ringway 3 between Yeading and Stanmore; this line was really the GLC's invention and not something the MOT were interested in pursuing, but they still bought the house.

Some very localised plans here show the line of the GLC's route 1A, just north of the White Hart Roundabout at Yeading, though without any detail such as junction locations or earthworks.

The house was given to the Ministry of Health, who used it to house hospital staff.
