Context
This file is a continuation from MT 139/459. My notes describe it as a "big wedge of stuff", which may actually be all the detail worth recording.
It deals with a very minor widening scheme that encroached on some front gardens and little else. Its main legacy was to create the very wide approach on the west side of the A406 North Circular/A105 Green Lanes crossroads, and it marginally widened the A406 west of that point.
Many, many property plans are here, plus other documents and letters to do with the business of inspecting and overseeing multiple minor Compulsory Purchase Orders.
One plan shows that an improvement line had been established, which would have taken out the houses on the north side of Bowes Road, to provide a continuous dual carriageway between Powys Road and Green Lanes - but this scheme was not making use of it.
