Context

This is a massive file - a heavy box with two tagged files crammed into it.

It deals mainly with amendments made to the Dartford Tunnel Act of 1930 before it was presented to Parliament again in modified form. The changes were mainly surrounding adjustments to the line of the approach roads, providing dual carriageways rather than single, and allowing for a future second bore in the design of the portals for the first.

Almost all the correspondence here is actually between the MOT and various private companies who had premises around the future tunnel portals.
