Context
A book published by James Drake, HL Yeadon and DI Evans - all of Lancashire County Council and all figures who were instrumental in the development of Lancashire's motorway network, as well as the more general advancement of motorways in Britain, that discusses in some detail the whole process of motorway building: from concept to route selection to design, interchange layout, capacity, alignment and architecture.
Not, perhaps, the most exciting read, especially for those who are not civil engineers - but an interesting and unique book.
