Context
The Ministry of Transport did not look kindly on the Greater London Council's ambitious road plans. This file deals with its official policy line towards the most controversial elements of the Ringway plan in the late 1960s, and is mostly a collection of ministerial correspondence on the matter.
My notes say this:
- DULL, DULL, DULL. Ministerial correspondence. Nothing revelatory really.
- PREM 13/2997 TRANSPORT. London primary road network: motorway box; advice to ministers on attitude they should adopt (1969)
