This file is a waste of time.
You are advised to avoid it like the plague. Its file title sounds rather interesting but it may contain only dull papers that fail to illuminate the subject matter or it may not even be related to the subject suggested by the title.

Context

This file describes itself as referring to the "Iverness - Wick - Thurso Conversion of Railway Line". In reality it has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the file description or date. In fact, it's one of the most badly indexed files I've ever come across.

Dates from 1903 – no detail given in documentation, but appears to be simply a repair of the road to Carloway on the west coast. There is no suggestion of any early "motorway" or Motor Road, just correspondence between the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Ross & Cromarty County Council.

People with camera copies

None - NAS did not allow cameras at time of visit.
