This is, oddly, filed under 'traffic lane markings' in the Catalogue, which is slightly disingenuous.
Context
The Doncaster Bypass was one of the first motorways to open and as such was one of the more experimental ones, particularly given that it formed a bypass on a long-distance route and that it was difficult to signpost to a nearby city in each direction on the new motorway.
This file covers the signage strategy for the Doncaster Bypass, though it is actually quite disappointingly plain. It contains all the orders for signs and the correspondence between the Ministry and the sign manufacturers, including basic plan diagrams showing the text that appeared on each sign but not showing them plan-accurate.
