Context

One of those files where you long for some diagrams or maps or plans or something to offset the dull paperwork and to illuminate all the things that the dusty documents are talking about.

This file discusses all manner of perverse details concerning the M4 Severn Bridge signalling system, as installed at the bridge's opening and discussed also in MT 95/987. It is concerned exclusively with the construction of the control panel and the layout of the control room equipment, including specifications for the type of switch to be used and the type of wood from which the console should be built.
