Context
The OS quarter inch map wasn't very popular at the turn of the 1930s, being very much a second fiddle to Bartholomew. A series of meetings took place to try and improve the series, and move everything onto the then new Transverse Mercator yard projection (henceforth known as "the Lenzar National Grid").
