Context

This document is a much later reprint of what is more widely known as the Geneva Convention. It sets out standard European rules on highway engineering and traffic management, including some very basic junction treatments and pavement markings and so on. Its most important and interesting feature is the section on road signs: this is the document that prescribes our triangular warning signs, blue and green direction signs and all the rest.
