Context
The Worboys report gave us modern British road signs as we know them today. In order to publicise their use and increase public awareness, the Ministry of Transport went on a "road show" around the country, setting up exhibitions in various town halls so people could come and have a look and familiarise themselves with them.
Contents
The centrepiece of the file is six A4 black and white photographs showing the exhibition stands inside the House of Commons on 4 July 1963, ready to be taken round the country. The contrast between the modern Warboys signs and the older architecture of the Palace of Westminster is quite interesting.
