Context

This file contains everything you ever needed to know about "The Kingston Outer Bye Pass Road" (as described in the file). It's full of tidbits of information, including the fact that the Sutton Bypass was built at the same time as part of the same contract, and when construction started in 1923, it was planned to take the A3 number from the word go (the A239 is never mentioned).

Along the way, it details construction dates, plans of the basic route and specific junctions including tricky bits where property had to be demolished, engineer reports on the overall project, and minutes from the opening ceremony in 1927 that states, amongst other things, that tea should be served. Gosh.
